Lovely cover. That red just pops!
Comment about pets . . . hmmm. My kids are pestering me about cats again. Really should see about that sometime. Though the dog might be old enough that he’d be annoyed with kittens. Something to think about. . . . oh, wait. You weren’t serious, were you?
Book I’ve recently read and recommend: Libriomancer by Jim C. Hines. Books ARE magic.
Hi Erin! I love that red, too. I think it’s cool how JTP has such a wide range of cover designs, each one suiting the tone of the story inside.
hehehe!
omgosh, I love hearing about pets! I’d talk about my dog, Jayne-boy, all day long, hehe! I like cats, they’re so mysterious and funny in the way they move through the world, I don’t know if my dog would ever get along with a kitten/cat yet, he’s just turned three and is shedding some of his puppy rambunctiousness, hehe!
I think I’m going to have to check out your book rec, just the title alone kinda grips me.
And you are so totally right, books ARE magic, how else do you explain being able to finish a book in a day, losing track of that time but feeling like you’ve been on the most incredible adventure ever. I <3 books.
btw, I’ll be posting the results of my “comment to win” contest at noon Colorado time.
I love the cover! And the stories sound great. How cool would it be to actually win!
I could curl up and read it while petting my dog, Maisey.
Hi Melissa!
I’m so happy with that cover, it was the image all of us authors in the anthology used as inspiration for our stories, so I hope readers will be pleasantly surprised at what we each came up with.
Awwww! I love the name Maisey! Reminds me of the little girl in Sleepless in Seattle
We named our dog Jayne, after the TV show/movie Firefly/Serenity’s Jayne Cobb.
Thank you for commenting!

Hi!
It’s rainy and dreary here today so I’m wishing I were home with my pooch Kirby! He’s a Shiba Inu and is a ham
I’m currently reading Can’t Stand the Heat by Louisa Edwards and I’m looking forward to reading Make Believe. Thanks for the chance to win!
Hi Jen!
ohhhhh! a little Shiba Inu!!
They’re so cute! I have a bull terrier (like the Target mascot dog
), he’s a bit of an upgrade in size from the Jack Russell Terriers we used to have but he’s such a snuggle buddy! I <3 him
I’m going to take a peek at the book you’re reading, I don’t think I’ve read anything by Louisa Edwards.
Thanks so much for stopping by to comment! btw, I’ll be posting the results of my “comment to win” contest at noon Colorado time.
Your bookmarks came in the mail a couple days ago, thank you so much! They’re beautiful
So far I have loved everything J. Taylor has published, can’t wait to read this one too. (We have one really large cat, a bearded dragon, a gerbil and many fish!)
Hi Wendy!
Thank you for commenting! I’m so happy the stories JTP publishes have been enjoyable to read!
and, Whoa! A bearded dragon! That sounds so cool! With a gerbil and fish too! I have an octagon tank that used to have many fish as well, but, sadly, as you well know, fish don’t live forever, and after several years, I only have two fishies left in a huge 30 gallon tank.
I love how you describe your cat though, as “really large” hehe, we have family friends who had like, THE biggest cat I had ever seen! I truly thought it was a small dog, but nope, just one big ol’ happy cat, hehe! I wish my dog was better behaved around cats, they’re pretty cool pets.

What a great looking book! Sounds wonderful and I’d love to read your story as well as the other ones in it. And hey, the bookmarkers are cool, too.
Thanks for giving me the chance to win it, Kelly.
NF!
Whee! My AW buddy! So nice of you to fly by!

I just started reading Rowlings latest book. Still trying to get into after three chapters. What does that mean?
Hi emaginette!
Ooo! A Casual Vacancy! Hmm, three chapters in and still trying to get into it, wow, I hear it’s a complex story, but a good one. Hopefully it starts picking up for you, I’m anxious to see what you think about it.

Pets Humm, no pets but three toddlers so I’m pretty sure they count, seeing as we’ve been toying with the idea of converting the lounge into something resembling a monkey enclosure.
I’ve been in a big of a book slump of late, but I am so looking forward to Darynda Jones fourth charley Davidson book!
Hi Emma! Oh yes, three toddlers definitely count! omgosh, you’re making me bust a gut with the monkey enclosure idea, hehe!
Wow, I love seeing what people are reading, I pick up so many great authors to add to my collection!
