TWIN SENSE author Lydia Sharp shares her creative writing corner!

“For the love of cheesecake,” you guys! :D

I am so excited to introduce a *very* special guest today, a brilliant, talented young adult author who’s agreed to welcome us into her private writing world, TWIN SENSE author Lydia Sharp! 8-)

Lydia Sharp is a novelist and short fiction author who grew up on the shores of Lake Erie. Then she got tired of finding sand in her clothes so she moved further inland, but she’ll always call Ohio home. Laughing is her favorite pastime. Kissing is a close second.

TWIN SENSE is a romantic comedy about a girl who must untangle herself from the love quadrangle she created with her boyfriend, her boyfriend’s twin brother, and her boyfriend’s twin brother’s ex-girlfriend.

You can purchase TWIN SENSE directly from Musa Publishing HERE

So, Lydia, show and tell us a little bit about your creative corner . . .

I share my writing space with my kitchen table. Not going to deny it or even skirt around it–my writing space is a blessed hot mess. But I can either be a creative mastermind (mwahahaha) or be tidy, I can’t be both. Creativity wins. Daily.

I’ll be posting my official review of TWIN SENSE soon (omgosh, you guys, I had the chance to beta read this, and *squee!* now that it’s out here for the world to see, I’m proud to say it’s still the same beautifully funny loving story I swooned over when I first read it all those weeks ago (before all of you got the chance to read it, nyah, nyah, teehee! :P ). :D

good news, updates and more! :D

Hello there my friendlies!

Whew! What a week! I’ve been boot-scoot-boogying all over the place trying to meet all my deadlines for both writing and non-writing life. It’s been like this tsunami of stress has washed over me and now, I’m picking my way through all the debris, trying to keep on going. Have I been successful? Mostly, hehe!

Which is why I’m here today!

omgosh, you guys! I have some pretty exciting things coming up soon!

First up, because I love sharing in the joy, hehehe! I have a spot of good news that ISN’T my own — my writer buddy Lydia Sharp of The Sharp Angle writer’s resource blog just had her YA novella, TWIN SENSE contracted for publication by MUSA PUBLISHING! :D Woohoo! omgosh, you guys, this little gem won’t be out until later in the year but I can not wait for you to read this beauty of a story. Stay tuned because I’ll be sharing updates with you all as soon as I spot ‘em! Until then, maybe click HERE to stop by The Sharp Angle and give a congratulations shout out or high five to Lydia. 8-)

Also, coming up in August, I’m going to have a special guest on my blog! woohoo! Author Julie Reece has agreed to swing by and talk about her YA debut novel, CRUX by J.Taylor Publishing! And as a special bonus, I’ve also secured a spot for her main character, Birdie, to come and chat with us for a bit, too. How awesome is that? :D

Aaaand I don’t know how many of you have noticed this, but my little countdown widget over in the sidebar there is tick-tocking the minutes away to my next GIVEAWAY! Whee! I’m gonna have some MAKE BELIEVE goodies to share with you guys soon soon soon! :D

As for my writing, well, all I can say is that I’ve been tippity-tapping away at the keys here, working on a supersekrit short story, one that I can’t reveal anything about anything on just yet, but one that is giving me HUGE grins as I write it.

I’m also gearing up for NaNoWriMo this year. What? Preparing for an event that isn’t until November? hehehe, yup! I have a novel idea that’s been burning through the edges of my waking mind, eager for me sort out all the world building components so I can get going on a first draft — which I’ll be writing come November 1. Anyone else thinking about participating in National Novel Writing Month this year? Lemme know if you are, I’m always looking for writer buddies ambitious enough to write a novel in 30 days! :D

So, those are the updates on my end my friendlies, how about you guys? Anything new and exciting you’d like to share? I have been away from the interwebz for a bit now, perhaps I’ve missed some of your good news? :)
