Something of PINTEREST, an *EXCLUSIVE* excerpt and a date
- Something *pinteresting* is going on…
I received two invitations to join the newest sensation to sweep the interwebz, Pinterest! 
My first, honest thought upon receipt of said invitations was ::rolls eyes:: ”Ugh, another social networking site?” Well… in the spirit of trying something new, like I did with my selection of adding Scrivener to my writer’s tool box, aaaand after reading author Stephanie Lawton’s comment on my FB page, I accepted the invite and started to set up my Pinterest account.
I admit to balking at the fact that Pinterest wanted to link with either my facebook page or my twitter account… Me: OK Pinterest, we just met and already you want to engage with my friends and followers and for me to grant you permissions to post things on my wall? Whoa! Pump your brakes there Pinterest, you’re moving a little too fast for me, all wanting to extend your prickly little pins into my personables, hehehe! See, I guess I’m just fussy and selective about which FB items I want shared on Twitter and vice versa. I think there IS such a thing as getting too much of me, hehehe!
But! I discovered the “link accounts” setting can be turned off in the control panel. Hooray! Clickity click, BING! I’m on my path to pinning and setting up my first board.
Now what? LOL! 
What the heck am I supposed to pin to all this blank space?
Well, after checking out what others had pinned, I started having fun by creating some bulletin boards to share with other pinners, boards that visually expressed my interests in TV, movies, music, art, books and a funny little board I like to call, TRUTH (teehee!). 
I also decided to follow in the footsteps of Ms. Lawton and create some writerly inspiration boards. I’ve pinned images that have inspired stories like Pearl of Pau’maa in TIDAL WHISPERS and my current WiP for submission to J.Taylor Publishing’s MAKE BELIEVE anthology.

Sterling August leapt down from his shivering mount and tossed the sweat-soaked reins to his livery manager. The man bowed and Sterling nodded his appreciation. He spared another moment to stomp the snow free from his boots before charging up the walkway, past the aviaries to the spiraling heights of Castle Kestrel. His heart raced with urgency, his legs ached from the long ride, but the click of his silver-tipped strides never faltered. The matted fur lining of his winter cloak dragged heavily behind him while torch flames in the grand hall liquefied the frost clinging to his close-cropped beard. He brushed past the hands eager to embrace him with warm welcome, instead, cradled a small wooden box to his chest, shielding it from their touch.
“Elexus!” he bellowed, scanning the horde of hopeful faces for his father’s advisor.
“Here, your grace,” she replied and hurried through the crowd to greet.
“Am I too late?” he asked, gripping the box tighter.

Ooo! What could he be “too late” for? What’s in that box? You’ll just have to wait to find out! hehehe!
- Which brings me to the third topic of this post’s title – a DATE!
I have some very cool things to reveal for TIDAL WHISPERS, and you’ll just have to wait to find out what they are! LOL! I promise, you won’t have to wait long, February 25th will be the day I can share a little something-something with everyone, and perhaps pin to my pinterest board, HERE. I hope you’ll have a spare moment to stop by and check out the things my publisher has put together – I can’t stop staring at them myself and the wait to reveal them has been pure agony for me, LOL!
