Y is for Yardwork

Y is for Yardwork, as in, it’s springtime and the hubs and I have been taking advantage of this great weather! Whee! We’ve been digging holes for trees, rototilling for a new lawn, and yeahhhh, finally getting that little back deck I’ve wanted for oh so long. Hooray!  So, here’s me sharing a bit of my non-writing life with the trees pre-planting as well as our deck waiting to be installed (complete with boss-dog supervising, hehe!).

So, has the weather been nice in your area? And if so, what have you guys done to kick-start your Spring? :)

Winter decided to come back this past week here in WNY. The snow is gone again, but the temps haven’t crept back up much yet. I’m hoping we may hit 50 today as it it is nice and sunny.

Hope we’ll see pics of your new deck when it’s finished. :D Have fun making your yard look prettier.

omgosh, Jaleh, snow?! Whew, I’m feeling quite thankful we’ve had such pleasant weather! Yup! I’ll post pics of the completed job soon — I confess to peeking outside each morning just to see that everything’s still there, hehehehe! Thanks for stopping by, Jaleh! :D

  2. Hi, Kelly.
Wait! You mean we’re supposed to sometimes turn off the laptop and actully venture outside? *grimaces* Not sure I can do that…
    ;)
We didn’t get much of a winter here in central California. Not that anyone else did, either, come to think of it! *laughs* I’m pretty much set already with my yard already completed. I just have to keep it maintained. If and when you post pictures of that completed deck, perhaps I’ll post some, too.

hahaha! I know, my pasty skin was actually reflecting light, teehee! Felt good to get out there and get my hands dirty, but yeah, couldn’t wait to get back in and continue writing! I’ll post more pics soon, I’m proud of the hard work hubs did to make the other half of our home pleasant. :)

I should get out and do some yard chores, but somehow my time off doesn’t seem to coincide with weather I want to work in. ;)
